During 2008 Futures Theatre Company worked in partnership with Southbank Mosaics and Southbank Sinfonia to deliver the collaborative multi-disciplinary project 'Project Blake'. The project aimed to create a lasting legacy celebrating the life and work of William Blake in the London Borough of Lambeth, where he lived between 1790 - 1800.
As part of the project Futures Theatre Company ran workshops at the London Southbank Centre with local schools using drama to explore Blake's poetry, learn about his life and actively participate in their heritage.
Futures Theatre Company are now currently developing a new piece of writing Island on the Moon inspired by Blake's 'Songs of Innocence and Experience' and will be delivering a rehearsed reading of this piece in July 2010.
