Five years ago Futures were approached by the University of Greenwich to find ways to help students develop their communication skills and help them practise these skills in a safe environment preparing them for meeting clients in a professional capacity.
First Year Student Social Workers
Futures continue to provide training services for the University of Greenwich supporting the Social Work degree course. Using case studies Futures create exercises enabling students to explore effective methods for communicating with a child suffering from trauma.
Second and Third Year Student Social Workers
Futures expanded the training to help students explore a variety of situations they may find themselves in, what they may expect from the situations and coping methods from delivering evidence in a court room or chairing a multi-agency meeting. The work has been carefully researched using case studies and working with experienced social workers and senior lecturers.
