Our Experience

To deliver our training we use experienced facilitators ensuring we are offering the best professional tuition possible. The programmes are developed by our experienced core team who have over 20 years combined experience of developing tailored services using drama as a training method.

Cost Effective Training

With funding cuts affecting every sector, training is even more important to maintain staff morale, support their professional development and help them effectively manage pressure. Futures can support training needs offering flexible solutions to provide the best possible services.

Methods

Futures gently introduce participants to the idea of drama through games and exercises which are created to break down insecurities within the group, develop team work and to help the group feel comfortable and confident.

One of the methods Futures uses for training is Forum Theatre. This involves the us preparing a short scene based on information collected at the consultation stage and will usually reflect issues relevant to training needs. The scene will echo an issue that could be a barrier to working effectively as a team or changes within the workplace that are impacting on productivity. The forum piece will be performed by the facilitators who, on completion of the piece, will approach the group asking them to offer solutions that will improve the outcomes for the characters.

It encourages exploration around an issue from many different perspectives and aims to help participants find their own effective solutions and strategies to try out in the future.
